CV R.GUISIANO

Résumé

After obtaining my degree in chemical engineering from Toulouse INP-ENSIACET, I embarked on an exciting journey by starting a doctoral thesis with Université Paris Cité.

For the past year, I've been deeply involved in designing new photoswitch ligands for melatonin receptors.

This captivating research is taking place in two exceptional locations: the chemical aspect is being conducted at the Instituto de Química Avanzada de Cataluña (IQAC-CSIC) under the guidance of Professor Amadeu Llebaria, while the biological part is supervised by Dr. Ralf Jockers at the Institut Cochin.

This thesis project aims to design and synthesize azobenzene photoswitchs ligands for melatonin receptors, validate their photoswitchability, and characterize them functionally using in vitro and in vivo biological tests. We expect to initiate a new generation of highly innovative melatonin receptor ligands with improved specificity for current and future therapeutic applications.

Formation complémentaire

PhD

Université Paris Cité - Biologie/Chimie

2023 à 2026

Currently in my second year of PhD, working at the chemistry /biology interface.

My thesis research is about Photo-sensitive Ligands for Targeting Melatonin Receptors Activation Using Light. This allows me to delve into the fascinating world of photopharmacology while utilizing my skills in organic synthesis.

I am  supported by a doctoral fellowship from the Université Paris Cité (MTCI ED 563).
